Berkeley propose the development of land in the south-western corner of the Abbey Barn South site as an Extra Care facility (Class C3) of 122 apartments.
The Extra Care facility would be accessed from Daws Hill Lane (via First Street) via the new link road which will be constructed by Berkeley.
The accommodation will be split over two buildings, up to three storeys, with associated private amenity space, resident facilities and car parking. In addition, Berkeley will be providing 60 affordable apartments (49%).
The development will be set within a high quality landscape setting, with access to the wider public open space provided in the Ride and the rest of the Abbey Barn South development.
